Q. What is the Impact of CCE on teaching, learning and the overall outcome , Please mention as to how will it improve the level of teaching. Do you think it is important? If yes, why?

• At the output it has encouraged the students towards interactive sessions giving rent to their expressions. It has induced and encouraged them for in – depth learning.

• Has enabled us to use different methodology with supportive activities. Overall outcome teaching a lesson becomes simple to reach out to the students’ level of teaching. It caters to all levels. For the benefit of sloe learners we can modify and make it simple.

• Greater focus on ‘teaching through activities, rather than ‘teaching to test’.Learning – conceptual clarification on through ‘hands on experience’ felicitates better learning. CCE helps in holistic development of personality, equips the students in co scholastic aspects. The grading system take away the fear for exams and lead to stress free learning environment in school .

• CCE has impacted tending learning greatly, it has made the process more inclusive, in the sense it caters to the different capabilities of all types of students.

Q What are the issues related to monitoring tools and its evaluation? and Do you think all the teachers should be made aware? Should all the teachers undergo training?

• The education process moulds the total personality. All the teachers must be aware of the process of evaluation.

• We are able to inculcate accountability, integrity and responsibility while observing classes and sharing evaluation with the teachers concerned.

• By sharing the outcome of the class observed where we tend to discuss the pros and cons, teachers feel happy to learn about the positive aspects in their teaching and gives them an encouragement in doing it much better in the days to come. Teachers are already trained.

• Monitoring tools allow standardized evolution based on specific criteria and hence evolution is fair, uniform and transparent.

• But the teachers need to plan meticulously, execute effectively the FA tasks in the the stipulated time as well as prepare the students to face the Summative Exams.

• Enough guidelines are given by CBSE in the form of manuals to make evaluation fair. All teachers should undergo training.

• English Lab, Maths Lab, Multimedia Classroom.

• The current ICT projects and practices in our school are the modules which we get through Plasma TV/PPT done by students/ Smart Class. We have to encourage students to do more PPTs

• Microsoft PowerPoint, search engines. Students are encouraged to use Micro Soft PowerPoint for projects. They also use Movie Maker, audacity for radio, video show.

• Heymath, Educomp, Edustrokes, Modules and PPT slides made by students and teachers.

• Students are encouraged to make Power point slides and present in class. The smart class multimedia facility is used extensively.

Q. What are the issues you face with regard to the curriculum and to what extent do those guidelines help in implementing ICT teaching/learning in classrooms?

• The Curriculum and ICT are interrelated.

• Effectiveness of ICT tool

• The content and depth of syllabus is the same in the CCE system as it was before. Hence teaching and drilling require same amount of time. Added to that many activities and FA tasks are also carried out.

• Many activities and experiments are difficult to demonstrate in a class ICT teaching is a great boon in such cases.

• We don’t have any issues with regard to curriculum. At times due to maintenance and power failure we do not get to use the Plasma TV/ Smart Class.

• Slow learners benefit a lot to hone their skill. It helps the students to think outside the box. Logical and Analytic thinking is encouraged in the lab.

Q. Is Cost an issue? What is more important: cost of the solution or the effectiveness of the ICT tool ?

• Yes

• Effectiveness of ICT tool.

Q. Do you think Learning labs such as English, Math are important and to what extent and how do you think they help in improving a child’s performance?

• Applicable for all subjects. The students experience what they learn and, it has a long lasting effect.

• Yes. All subjects.

• Yes. They help them to develop interest in the subject and shed their inhibitions.

• They are important. As a science teacher I am unable to explain how.

Q. Do you know what exactly is a Smart Class/ Multimedia Classroom or Interactive Classroom ?Do you think Multimedia Classroom is important? If yes, for which grades? And for which subjects?

• Yes. For all grades and for all subjects.

Q. What is the future of education in your words?

• Future of education is “Hands on”.

• Future of education- should enable students to face lot of challenges and make a mark in life.

• Develop skill in students to apply the knowledge acquired.

• Today students can visualize, and experience all the concepts they are exposed to, this makes teaching and learning easier and its effect will be lasting. Hence future of education is very bright.

It provides lot of scope for the teachers to design and update their own content to conveniently deliver it to the classrooms.

The Technology used, is very simple and the device is user friendly. It is easy for anyone to handle the devise and to present the content without any Technical support.

A.The overall outcome has been very influential especially in understanding the children better. It is helping to identify the latent inherent talents in children. It paves way to assess the impact on all the domains of learning viz the cognitive, affective and psychomotor.
As a result I feel it is important to know the holistic profile of any learner.

Q.What are the issues related to monitoring tools and its evaluation? and Do you think all the teachers should be made aware? Should all the teachers undergo training?
A.Issues related to monitoring the tools and evaluation needs to be tackled by each teacher individually depending on the learning style of the learner.
Depending on the objective for assessment the teacher needs to devise tools to test the outcome observed.
All the possible tools for assessment needs to be valid, realistic and achievable. All the teachers need to undergo training in framing rubrics to assess the charges observed in scholastic and non-scholastic areas.

A.SmartClass, Langauge Lab, AV Room, Math Lab, Computer Lab

Q.Please mention if you initiate any special AV room sessions or encourage students to prepare PPT slides etc?
A.We have special AV rooms with smart board and teachers use this tool to bring in all latest technology into classroom teaching. Especially some topics in History, Geography and Physics where it needs a lot of visualization is taught through this Smart Board.
We also encourage students to make PPT presentation as a part of their compulsory project work in internal assessments.

Q.What are the issues you face with regard to the curriculum and to what extent do those guidelines help in implementing ICT teaching/learning in classrooms?
A.There is a lot of scope in the curriculum to use ICT tools. We follow both ICSE and IGCSE. Online worksheet are also given.

Q.Is Cost an issue? What is more important: cost of the solution or the effectiveness of the ICT tool ?
A.To bring in cost effectiveness we have an AV room with smart board where teachers take turns to present concepts using the ICT tool. Thsi saves on a lot of cost where every classroom need not be provided with the ICT tools. Sometimes the learners are taken to the Cyber zone to learn through computers and interest facility available.

Q.Do you think Learning labs such as English, Math are important and to what extent and how do you think they help in improving a child’s performance?
A.Language Lab and Math Lab definitely help a child to get a good grip if the Fundamental Language skills and Math skills. Especially with reference to aural oral skills in languages.

Q.Do you know what exactly is a Smart Class/ Multimedia Classroom or Interactive Classroom ?Do you think Multimedia Classroom is important? If yes, for which grades? And for which subjects?
A.Yes, as we function with this in the AV room. All subjects at one point can be linked to fundamental themes and taught multimedia and ICT tools with an integrated approach to learning.

Q.What is the future of education in your words?
A.Learners should be provided with more flexibility, better learning environment and be able to reduce societal pressure.
