CCE : Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation

School-based CCE Scheme has been introduced for doing a holistic assessment of a learner which includes both scholastic and co scholastic aspects of learning. Emphasis has to be given to teach Life Skills, Attitudes and Values, Sports and Games as well as Co-Curricular activities so that all the three major goals of education – the psycho-motor, cognitive and the affective, are addressed and achieved. Maintaining anecdote records to track the child’s performance right from the beginning and frequently through the course/period is required. Various tools and techniques are available for assessing students in subjects and in co-curricular activities. Since assessments have to be done in formative and summative patterns, understanding pedagogy and maintaining a two-way communication in classrooms will help teachers in grading the learner.
